There is a Season   Briggs Team Plays The Go Game

September has always been an exciting time of change;  change of seasons, schools, jobs and even clothing (white and straw to wool and flannel). New York City is always changing and the Fall brings a certain edge of anticipation; new Broadway shows, concerts and the possibility of a World Series. Closer to home there is another change in the air; my blog has changed over the course of the past year from my thoughts on NYC  to more personal reflections. So I am divorcing the blog from the Briggs domain.  All those who enjoy and are interested in continuing reading, can access it at  www.tonynapoli.com. "Well look at me, I am Changing" as Effie sings in Dream Girls.

Interactive and teambuilding tours are in demand so the Briggs team decided to test one out! The Go Game is a high-tech NYC scavenger hunt using web enabled cellular phones with GPS and high-resolution digital/video cameras to complete missions.  The Go Game is a fun way to include your entire group using creativity, communications, teamwork, problem solving, time management and strategic planning to complete tasks and ultimately produce the most creative results.  We had a great time and so will your guests!

Believe it or not Ripley’s is back in NYC after having closed in 1972. It is on 42nd Street next to Madame Tussauds' and it offers the world's odd and bizarre as well as a glimpse into New York’s past. On view are items ranging from 24 shrunken heads to a section of the Berlin Wall; from a 3,197 lb. meteorite to Babe Ruth’s official team uniform. It's a great corporate ice breaker as you wander around with a martini and gawk at a six-legged cow, a lock of Elvis's hair or life size albino giraffe. This incredible collection of artifacts and exhibits proves that fact is indeed stranger than fiction.

The Meat Packing District is the hottest dining area in town. And one of the hottest places is the extravagant, yet sleek, Buddakan. This architecturally intriguing restaurant offers seating for up to 320 people.  Sip a cocktail in the upstairs lounge, or venture down the beautiful, wooden staircase and get lost in one of Buddakan’s many private rooms.  It's very popular to sit at the central communal dining table under the grandiose chandelier.

Based on the cult film of the same name that featured Olivia Newton-John,  Xanadu is a delightful, campy musical. The plot is too silly to go into. It features a Greek muse who is Australian,  a hunky  sidewalk artist from Venice, CA, and a dancing centaur rollerblading at a disco.  Need more be said? "It's Magic!"
