Iowa State Fair

Summer is just about over! Well, this city mouse visited his country cousins at the Iowa State Fair in August and had everything you can ever imagine to eat on a stick - including meatballs and spaghetti! We don't have a pig judging in NYC, but in the fall all of the city's neighborhoods hold block parties and street festivals featuring the the ubiquitous Funnel Cake! Autumn is a great time to visit; theatre and concert season starts and we New Yorkers are in full swing. It's as if by magic the day after Labor Day signaled a sprint to Christmas. "So Y'All Come Back Now, Hear?"
