Briggs ADMC   Cosimo - Jumping for Joy

It seems nowadays that anyone can hang out a shingle and call themselves a DMC. So I have the pleasure to announce that Briggs is the only full service Destination Management Company in NYC to have earned a charter ADMC accreditation. The Association of Destination Managing Executives, ADME, has designed industry standard requirements that measure the longevity and stability of the company, their commitment to the DMC industry and their service levels to clients. Indeed we are the only company in NYC to also have two DMCP's and one CMP on our team. Now clients can look for the ADMC certification to ensure that the DMC they are working with meets high standards. So congrats to us ! - Briggs, Inc., ADMC.

Has Alain Ducasse opened up another pretentious French expensive money pit? Well the jury is still out on that one. Adour has opened and is making its mark at the St. Regis Hotel.  The restaurant is located in an awkward space off the lobby, once home to that other pinnacle of food foolery, Lespinisse. With over 1,500 wines and the contemporary French cuisine, Alain Ducasse's Adour is richly decorated with hues that reflect the deepest Merlots, creamiest Chardonnays and champagne bubble-like fixtures and dividers. Guests can use interactive technology which projects the wine list onto their table, providing their history and potential food parings. Can you guess how much wine is by the glass? You don't want to know (up to $88).

John Waters film of Cry-Baby is now a new musical. Baltimore, 1954 -  everyone likes Ike, nobody likes communism and Wade “Cry-Baby” Walker is the coolest boy in town. He's a bad boy with a good cause — truth, justice and the pursuit of rock 'n' roll. When he falls for a good girl who wants to be bad, her charm-school world of bobby sox and barbershop quartets will never be the same. Wayward youth, juvenile delinquents, sexual repression, cool music, dirty lyrics, bizarre rejects…Finally, the '50s come to life!  Will lightning strike twice and turn Cry-Baby into another mega hit like Water's other inspired musical, Hairspray?
