"It's Not Where You Start..." |
7th Annual June Briggs Awards Recipients
Rod, from the Broadway musical Avenue Q, Gary Newman and myself were co-hosts for the 7th Annual June Briggs Awards for Destination Management Excellence in New York City on January 6, 2009. It's our gala night to acknowledge four of our partners for outstanding service. Over 200 guests enjoyed the spectacular views from the private observation deck at Top of the Rock which towers over Rockefeller Center. The highlight of the evening was a duet between Rod and famed cabaret performer, Marta Sanders singing “It’s Not Where You Start, It’s Where You Finish." "This company does more than just convey our guests to and from the airport, no matter the weather conditions or the craziness of our NY airports record history for cancelled or delayed flights. Even with the December madness of midtown traffic gridlock, our guests still catch their 8pm curtain on time. They transfer them swiftly and safely in understated elegance and consummate professionalism. The 7th Annual June Briggs Award for outstanding transportation goes to Carey Limousine." |
"This gentleman is out there in rain, sleet and snow. No, he is
not delivering the mail but delivering fabulous parties at
Rockefeller Center either around the ice rink on a cold frigid
night or in the summer garden on a hot August evening. You never
see him break a sweat checking on all the smallest details or
trip up delivering our client’s last minute requests. He
gracefully meets our every demand performing them with greater
style than any Olympic figure skater.
He even kept the Tree lit
for the June Briggs Awards!

"We all know about their 4th of July fireworks, Tapo-mania, the Flower
Show at Easter time and their big Thanksgiving Day parade. But every day
this iconic department store welcomes thousands of tourists and helps
them not only with their shopping needs but answers myriad questions on
what to do in our great city. And I bet you didn’t know they host a
great incentive fashion show breakfast including a visit from Santa. |
Well, we all protested it when it was built
back in 1982. We thought it turned its back on seedy Times Square but
now we know it was one of the cornerstones in turning Times Square
around into today’s neon glory. One of the best thrill rides in the city
besides the Coney Island Cyclone is riding up and down in its glass
enclosed elevators. Yes, it’s a big place but every guest is treated
with personal warmth and caring making our visitors feel at home in the
Big Apple. | |||||
