Anthony Napoli, CMP DMCP is a proud native New Yorker and has been a leader in the destination management/incentive travel industry for more than 20 years. Tony attained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Cathedral College & St. Joseph’s Seminary and holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in theatre directing from CUNY. He was a highly successful Off-Broadway theatre director in New York City as well as Founder and Artistic Director of the GAP Theatre Company. He worked with such distinguished playwrights as David Rabe and Oliver Hailey and produced/directed many original plays and musicals. He was mentored by Jim McNabb of McNabb & Associates before joining Briggs in 1990 as Director of Operations. Briggs, formerly Briggs Red Carpet Associates, is the oldest DMC in New York City, was founded in 1982 by June Briggs and has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the SITE Crystal Award and the BizBash Special Event Award. Mr. Napoli is often invited to speak at industry panels and is quoted as an incetive travel expert in Crain's, The Wall Street Journal, Mann on the Street, XM Satellite Radio, and numerous leading travel industry publications.

Gary has been an active and outspoken leader in the destination management industry for over 15 years. As the co-owner and Managing Director of Briggs, Inc., he has helped the company focus on outstanding service and creativity which has helped garner many awards, including being named one of the top 25 DMCs by Special Events magazine for five years.

Gary served on the board of The DMC Network for more than 10 years, two of them as President. In that capacity, he helped member companies achieve even greater levels of excellence through one-on-one mentoring and educational avenues that fostered growth. He also oversaw the transition of the organization from a non-profit to a for-profit LLC.

Gary enjoys spending time with his two Jack Russell terriers, George and Gracie, and escaping to his house in the New York countryside where he loves to sit in his backyard contemplating the universe. He also enjoys hiking, running, quantum physics and fixing things.

Cosimo joined Briggs Inc in 2002, bringing with him an outstanding sales record in the hospitality industry with 8 years of previous experience. In his current role, as Vice President of Business Development, Cosimo is responsible for developing and maintaining Sales & Marketing and is the primary contact for Corporate and Incentive clients. Prior to Briggs, Cosimo held sales and product management positions with several inbound airlines, tour operators, cruise lines and hotels. He was responsible for contracting all tariff products and development of sales strategies.

Cosimo has worked and studied both in the United States and in Europe giving him the opportunity to experience different sales methods and learn many languages, such as Italian, Spanish & French.
He currently serves on the Membership Committee for SITE and is the past SITE Co-Chair for the Young Leaders program, which is designed to build the next generation of performance improvement leaders by providing education and networking opportunities on a level and in a manner appealing directly to those younger generations.


With his responsibility as Vice President of Business Development, he teaches hospitality industry classes several times during the year in New York’s top Universities like NYU & St John’s University. He also served on the MPIGNY Board of Directors and is a proud father of twins.

While Rocco is proud to hale from Pittsburgh, he is a Broadway Baby at heart. After graduating from Point Park University with a BFA in Musical Theater, Rocco hopped on the first bus to New York City. Since arriving on the island he has managed Off-Broadway Box Offices, founded theater companies and produced numerous shows. It’s a short hop from the stage to special event bringing the excitement, energy, and creativity to shape new, unique experiences in New York City

Marjorie is a New York City girl through and through. Born on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, she recently crossed over the Great Bridge and now lives in the borough of Brooklyn. She has her B.A. in psychology from Wesleyan University which she finds helpful in Sales! Marjorie spent some time in pharmaceutical advertising before realizing events were her natural forte. She switched fields and spent three years at a New York based incentive house working in the Purchasing Department. Marjorie’s love for her hometown brought her to Briggs, where she is thrilled to use her creativity, attention to detail, and love for the city every day.

A bonafied native of The Big Apple, Lauren was born, raised and continues to live in the greatest city on earth – Brooklyn! A true results driven events professional with 6+ years of experience, Lauren has a track record of operating successful events, meetings and city-wide logistics driven programs. After receiving her BA in Theater Production from CUNY Brooklyn College, Lauren honed her knack for creativity, organization and production skills into her long standing career at Briggs. As an essential part of the Briggs team, her skills and positive attitude, not to mention sense of humor, have proved critical to the success of a variety of events for both corporate and incentive clients. When not planning events at Rockefeller Center, attending ISES meetings or coordinating multiple coaches at the Jacob Javits Center, Lauren can be found hangin’ with her loved ones in Brooklyn.

Luigi Dato is a proud native New Yorker who brings nearly six years of experience in the hospitality field. Prior to joining Briggs, Luigi was the Senior Sales Manager at a NYC dinner cruise line,  where he was responsible for managing both domestic and international sales. Luigi is pursuing a degree in Philosophy and Business Management and converses fluently in Italian and soccer.

Sal is a Brooklyn boy, born in Sicily. Although he has lived in Brooklyn most of his life, the majority of his education has taken place in Manhattan. He has an extensive knowledge of NYC and how to navigate the “mean streets” of the “concrete jungle”. Sal loves the “nightlife” and is the resident Briggs expert on after hours venues. He is  currently a student of CUNY / Hunter College majoring in Finance and Accounting. Sal is an avid sports fan and has played soccer his whole life. He is fluent in both Italian and English.

From the Big Easy to the Big Apple - Sarah moved to New Orleans in the spring of 1999 and thus began her career in hospitality in a popular French restaurant. Here in New York City, Sarah’s 11 years of event and hospitality experience brings a wide array of skills to the Briggs team. Some of her past experiences include sales manager with Tavern on the Green, to sales manager for Restaurant Associates at The Metropolitan Opera, The United Nations, and The PGA Championship. At some of our premiere venues she planned the city’s most prestigious fundraising events to creative once in a lifetime social occasions. Sarah’s diverse background didn’t begin when she arrived in New York, but started when she left her home town of Akron, Ohio to attend the American University in Washington DC. Between classes she worked with Senator Jay Rockefeller's press office and upon graduating from American University in 1995, Sarah ventured into Seoul, Korea to teach English as a second language. During this time, she hosted a popular English conversation television show and traveled extensively throughout the region.

Having grown up in Queens, Julie Heath is a native New Yorker with a passion for bringing ideas to life and making dreams come true! She has been in the business of planning events for non-profit, corporate and social clients for many years. Julie joined Briggs from a career managing events and marketing campaigns for several major luxury cosmetics brands. She also spent several years working for a major incentive house, so she really understands our clients’ needs! Julie specializes in seeing events through from conception to completion, and her creativity, penchant for detail, and attention to building client relationships ensure that every event is a success.

Always a New Yorker at heart, Dennis moved to the Big Apple from St. Louis. His love for Gotham and prior event management experience make him a perfect fit for Briggs. Prior to joining our team, Dennis worked for Maritz Travel Company (one of the worlds leading incentive houses) for more than 12 years. His career at Maritz involved him in all aspects of the travel and incentive industry, from Travel Director to Senior Account Supervisor. Dennis has traveled the world with many top Fortune 500 companies and has been involved in planning and operating events and travel programs for the most discriminating clients. Dennis brings to Briggs his creativity, operational experience and astute attention to detail all of which allow him to consistently exceed our clients expectations.

A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, Ali Petlin is a huge sports fan and loves playing tennis and basketball. She has a passion for all types of theatre, taking the stage for the first time at age two. Baking is one of Ali’s favorite hobbies that started with a small business she created, Pie Ali Mode, at age 12. Her event planning ventures began in high school when she spent the summer studying at FIT taking a business ownership and event planning class. She continued in the field with a DMC and event marketing firm in San Antonio which then led her back to The Big Apple.
